Uncanny...

So I'm doing a rune reading, and what turns out to be my personal rune? Perth. Anyone care to guess where I live? I have to dispute this though: "Perth symbolizes enjoyment and wild abandon, but be watchful, for Perth is also the rune of mystery and the outcomes unexpected." Yes well, that must be the Australian one then...

Signs and divinations are there when, perhaps, there is nothing else which would inspire us? Enjoyment and wild abandon may have some significance afterwards, when one has returned from it, akin to losing oneself to sleep, waking, and then recollecting some phenomenal dream. Hense we expose ourselves and furtively grind significance from what has become intolerable, commonplace.
But step now from the single mortal individual who endures this process to collective human activity, History if you will, and what we have is an intrigue, which Hegel recognized as such, and because he recognized it, thought History was coming to a close.
All from rune reading, the flight of Minerva's owl at dusk, throwing bones and entrails, prophesying by dreams...I am not given over to temerarious prose quite yet (give me a few years). Consider my remarks small tribute to the good nature on display here in heaven [s to betsie].
